 Today we reviewed our vocabulary that we have learned. I personally found this lesson to be quite boring, and did not like it much. I think this because we already learned this vocab and this was just review for the test and we worked in a college vocab book. I do hope to take this knowledge with me in the real world though, and use it when I am talking to people or writing emails, as well as trying to sound smart and getting into colleges, becoming a better writer. My day is going great because it is Friday and we have a 3 day weekend upcoming.

 

    Today we read an Emily Dickinson poem and answered questions about this. Personally I really liked this assignment since we got to read a poem from an interesting person. She was told as "different" and it was really cool to see life and her point of view of life. I am hoping to take lessons that I can learn from this poem and take them to shape my own life and future. I really loved this lesson because we saw life from a different point of view and learned many lesson from this poem and Emily Dickinson in general. My day is going okay because I had to take 2 tests today and have a lot to do.  

 Today in class we got a list of vocab words and had to define them and give an image, as well as put a caption to the image explaining it and how it reflects the vocab word. I learned many different vocab words, such as adroit, animosity, aggrandize, etc. I plan to use this in my everyday life in my words and tone and have better English. I liked this lesson personally because I like to learn more words to use in talking because it reflects intelligence and also I can converse English better. I am feeling bad today because I got 6 hours of sleep and had a long weekend and don't want another week of school to start. I also have a lot of homework today.

We worked on a jamboard for our origin myth story today. I learned how to visualize my origin myth and put it in a way so i can understand i better. I plan to use this information anytime im reading an origin myth just so i can have a better understanding and i can visualize it. I didn't dislike anything about the lesson, i actually like how we got to first create an origin myth, and also put pictures to kind of visualize it in action. I didn't have any struggle with anything. My day is going fine, I have a lot of work from ap physics but thats it.

 We took a review quiz on illuminate and also finished our group project. I learned more about origin and reviewed how they work and read one. I don't really plan to do anything with this knowledge, it may have helped me become a better writer and when I read or analyze an origin myth I can understand it. The lesson was quite boring, but this was expected on a quiz day, I liked how calming it was though, I didn't feel stressed. My day is going good and im very excited for the weekend. 

 Today we worked in groups reading an origin myth story about a father and a son. I learned more about origin myths and how to identify and analyze the conflict. I plan to read more origin myths and understand them better, and just in general any story I read, I also plan to be more responsible and have respect for my family. I liked how we collaborated and worked in groups, and read about an interesting story. I’m feeling good and today is going great.

The first goal I want to achieve is to get my license. I would like to get my license so I can go to places like the gym, or go get food without my parents or siblings having to drive me. The second goal that I would want to achieve this year is to get a job. I want a job so I can make money and be more responsible. The last goal that I want to achieve this year is having straight A's and passing all my AP Exams. I want to get into a good college and having straight A's junior year as well as passing my AP Exams helps with that.
