Friday: Prompt: How do you find time to enjoy your day, even when you have a lot going on? Write about at least three specific things you do to enjoy small moments throughout your day.

I have time to enjoy my day even when I am busy by making time. Being in school for a long part of my life has given me pretty good time management skills so it is easy to make time when I am very busy. I usually have to compromise something in my day, or I usually just plan ahead. Even during my busy days, I try to make at least 30-45 minutes of free time for whatever I want to do. To sum it up, I make time by compromising something, planning ahead, and also will find at least 30-45 minutes to do something I love to do.  Today in class we went over how the EOC works and also did Newsela articles. I appreciated these assignments since it proficiently prepared me for the EOC. In addition, the newsela articles were interesting and boosted my reading and comprehension skills.

Wednesday: Prompt: In celebration of Earth Day, take a moment to reflect on the idea of creation. What do you believe is the most beautiful creation in the world and why? Describe it in detail and explain what makes it so awe-inspiring to you.

The most beautiful creation in the world are mountains. I love mountains because they are beautiful, tall, and full of trees. I also love climbing and hiking them and it makes me feel a sense of freedom being so high on the Earth. Lastly, the amount of diversity of life they provide is amazing, their are bears and other creatures which make them great.  Today in class we looked at unpopular opinions and decided whether we were for or against it, and also wrote claims and opposing claims. I liked this assignment since it made me critically think and also helped my argumentative writing.

Tuesday: Prompt: Now that you have completed your sensory presentation, reflect on which of the five senses you value most. Identify the sense and explain why it holds the greatest importance to you.

The sense that I value the most is probably vision. If I did not have vision I could not visualize the memories I have. I think this is the most important sense since if you cannot see you cannot put the memory to an image, you will not even be able to see other people. I also value this sense the most since it would be very lonely without sight, you would feel like the only person in the world probably and it would be terrible not to see this beautiful world. Today in class we read a commonlit called "Three Types of Friendship" and answered questions about it. I liked this assignment since the passage was very interesting and taught me about friendships in real life as well.

Monday: Prompt: Easter Sunday was yesterday, a holiday full of traditions for many people. What holiday do you look forward to the most each year, and why is it your favorite? Share what you usually do to celebrate it and what makes it meaningful or fun for you."

I look forward to Christmas the most as well as New Years. I really love these days since on these days I usually go to parties with my family and it is very fun. They're one of the few parties we go to that are actually fun. I also love these holidays since I usually get presents, especially during Christmas. I also usually travel for Christmas and get to spend a lot of time with my family. The New Years is also at the end of the year and we get to celebrate the accomplishments and how much we've grown over that past year, and get to start a new one. Today in class we continued working on the sensory project, working with imagery and items we chose to get a better understanding of imagery. I liked this assignment since we got to put it into a presentation and it made me realize how valuable some things are in my life.

Wednesday: Prompt: Choose one item from your "So Much Depends Upon" list and imagine it could talk. What story would it tell about you? Write from the item’s point of view.

One item I would choose is the non stick cooking pan. Im the non-stick pan, you use me a lot, mostly for eggs or chicken. One time you forgot I was on and I got real hot and mad. I don’t let food stick. I have been dropped once but I am still standing. I seen some weird food, and I just sit there on the stove like waiting to be cooked. Today in class the internet was down so we had to the our presentation about imagery on paper. I enjoyed this assignment since it gave me a better understanding or imagery, especially since we get to go more in depth about how it occurs in our life and how we can relay that into texts.

Tuesday: Prompt: Write about a book, poem, or article you’ve read that made you feel something deeply—whether it was joy, anger, sadness, or curiosity. What was the text, and what moment or message stood out to you the most?

I read Into Thin Air and it kinda messed me up. It’s about this group climbing Mount Everest and everything just goes horribly wrong. What hit me the most was how people literally died just trying to get back down, like after all that work, the mountain still didn’t care. It made me feel really sad and kind of mad at how brutal nature can be. Also, it made me never want to climb Everest ever. Today in class we went over figurative language, and specifically imagery. I appreciated this assignment since we got to choose our own items to do imagery for and also it gave me more of an understanding of imagery and how to identify it when it comes up in articles that I read.

Monday: Prompt: Write about what you did over the Spring Break.

Over spring break I tried to get as much rest and as much sleep as I could; turns out, it was a harder task than I thought though. My grandparents came over from Romania and I spent a lot of time with them, as well as my brother came home from college. My family and I also traveled to north Georgia to hike and it was a very enjoyable experience. Overall, my spring break went well, and I got much needed rest and spent time with my family. Today in class we read a poem and got more help with figurative language, as well as prepped for the EOC a bit. I enjoyed this and I was very interested since it got me more help into areas I needed which I previously struggled for the EOC test.
