Wednesday: Prompt: In celebration of Earth Day, take a moment to reflect on the idea of creation. What do you believe is the most beautiful creation in the world and why? Describe it in detail and explain what makes it so awe-inspiring to you.

 The most beautiful creation in the world are mountains. I love mountains because they are beautiful, tall, and full of trees. I also love climbing and hiking them and it makes me feel a sense of freedom being so high on the Earth. Lastly, the amount of diversity of life they provide is amazing, their are bears and other creatures which make them great. 

Today in class we looked at unpopular opinions and decided whether we were for or against it, and also wrote claims and opposing claims. I liked this assignment since it made me critically think and also helped my argumentative writing.

Friday: Prompt: Write about a song that brings back a specific memory.

 A song for me that brings specific memory is Hotel California from the Eagles. It brings back memories since my dad would always play it when I was a child. Every time we would go to the pool he would play the song. I still love it to this day. Today in class, we started a project on A Lesson Before Dying, and I focused on studying racial injustice and justice. Looking into racial justice made me think about how unfair things used to be and how people fought to change it. It helped me understand why standing up for what’s right is so important.

Monday - Vocabulary 3

 Today we learned 15 new vocabulary words and evidence. I learned 15 new vocabulary words and used them in sentences to better my vocabulary. I will use this when writing essays, talking, and writing anything formal. I personally disliked this assignment because it wasn't very interactive. My day is going good.
