Tuesday: Prompt: Write about an object that holds sentimental value and why it’s important to you.

A toy plane my dad gave me holds a lot of sentimental value. He gave it to me when I was little, and it was my favorite toy. Every time I played with it, it felt like I was actually in the air, and it reminded me of the adventures my dad and I took. It’s important because it’s a symbol of how he always encouraged me to dream big. Even though I’m older , I still keep it as a reminder of him and all that we've been through.

Today in class, we filled out a STEAL sheet about the character Grant from A Lesson Before Dying. The STEAL sheet helped me break down Grant’s character and understand his thoughts and actions better. It made me realize that even though Grant is struggling, he still has a lot of potential to make a difference.
